According to the candidate, “all of us in Ghana, not just those in Dagbon, but also those of us outside Dagbon are very concerned about the continued conflict and problem in Dagbon. And our prayer is that senior people like you would work to promote reconciliation and peace amongst the people of Dagbon”.

He reiterated his knowledge of the history of Ghana and the role Dagbon has played. He also expressed concern about Dagbon taking its rightful place again in the life of the nation. Adding that, it can only happen when there is unity and reconciliation and peace again in Dagbon.

It would not be easy but people like you would have to be in the lead. We have to try and make sure that we succeed”.

“I know that in certain circumstances in certain circles in Dagbon they have said all kinds of things about me. That I don’t like so and so people and that I have a tail and I have wings in my hair and you are seeing me today, very ordinary man just like everybody else”. Amidst applause.

“I want you to take me to your confidence and whatever it takes on my side, my modest contribution that I can make to restoring peace and unity and reconciliation in Dagbon, I am prepared to do my bit”. He stated.
