Zita appeals to telecom companies - Put effective mechanisms for customer feedback

Accra, June 5, Ghanadot - The Minister of Information, Mrs. Zita Okaikoi has appealed to players in the country’s telecommunication industry to guarantee customers satisfaction as well as putting in place effective mechanisms that would enable the monitoring of customer feedback for on ward actions.

She further indicated that, government is equally determined not to allow players in the industry to compromise on customer satisfaction while providing services in the country.

The government is committed to ensuring that investors have access to a congenial environment for which invertors would earn their worth of investments in the economy.

The Minister of Information urged players in the telecommunication industry in collaborating with the government in fighting problems of crime, environment, road accidents and security which has bedeviled the country which is often facilitated by communication.

She was speaking at the launch of MTN’s “Mobile TV” at the Accra Mall held in Accra.

She however called on all stakeholders in the country to come on board to support the programme.

On the part of the Minister of Communication Mr. Haruna Iddrisu has noted that, players of the telecommunication industry in extending their services and products to the extreme poor locations in the country.

According to him, when such exciting and innovative services and products are extended to such areas it would actually sever the purpose for the introduction of the product.
