Alliance for Accountable Governance welcomes States of
the Nation address
Abdul Salam Sule, Ghanadot
Accra, Feb 23, Ghanadot - Alliance for Accountable
Governance, (AFAG) a pressure group
comprising some lawyers in the country has welcomed the
state of the nation address delivered by the President, Prof
John Evans Attah Mills.
The pressure group described the address by the President as
insightful, wide-ranging, well thought-out and promising.
This was contained in a statement which was issued by AFAG
and signed by its secretary, Mr Arnold Boateng.
The statement said, "We are pleased about his
Excellency's
promise to institute the MP''s Development Fund, to attach
National Service Personnel as research assistants to MP's
and his pro-poor intervention programmes for the Central and
the three Northern Regions".
The statement however appealed to the President to tread
cautiously and with circumspection in handling the Dagbon
chieftaincy crisis.
It however wished the President and his government well and
expressed the hope that Ghana would become a better place
for all.
