Nigerian officials to handle Starlets match

Accra, Dec 8, GNA - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian match officials to handle Sunday's second leg African U-17 Championship qualifier between the Black Starlets of Ghana and their Ivorian counterparts at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports from the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) indicates that FIFA referee S. Aliu Ibrahim would be at the centre with assistants being his fellow compatriots Madaki Sani and Sani Zubaira.

Ghana's Nicholas Djomoah will be the fourth referee.

According to the information, Mamadou Keita from Mali will be the Match Commissioner.

The Black Starlets would have to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg encounter to secure one of the tickets for the championship next year.

The Ghanaians will need at least two unanswered goals to make their dreams a reality.
