Santos F/C fined by Football Association
Assin Akrofuom, (C/R) Feb. 28, GNA - The Central Region
Football Association (CRFA) on Tuesday imposed a fine of one
million cedis on Assin Akrofuom Santos F/C for un-sportmanship
behaviour.
Mr Mathew Doe, Chairman of Regional Football Association who
disclosed this to GNA Sports in Cape Coast said the FA also
slapped a ban of four home matches on the Club.
He said during the 13th week league match between Santos and
Mankessim Mir F/C at Assin Akrofuom on February 25, this
year, Karim Amadu, the Manager of Santos F/C slapped referee
Fred Andoh who handled the match for awarding a penalty
against his Club.
Mr Doe said the Manager who was not satisfied with his
action later led his supporters and players armed with
bamboo sticks to beat the referee after the match.
The Chairman said during the stampede, the referee lost
300,000 cedis and some valuable documents.
