MEMORANDUM
FROM: GENERAL SECRETARY
TO: ALL REGIONAL CHAIRMEN
SUBJECT: OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECIAL
ELECTORAL COLLEGE ON
SUN 31ST AUGUST 2014
DATE: TUESDAY 26TH AUGUST, 2014.
Cc: ALL REGIONAL SECRETARIES, ORGANIZERS AND
RESEARCH OFFICERS.
a) The election will take place on Sunday 31st
August 2014. Voting starts at 8:00am in the morning
and ends at 3:00pm. Counting of ballots continues
immediately after voting and results declared.
b) The Electoral Commission will conduct this
election in all the eleven designated voting centres
across the country. As such, Presiding officers will
be in total control of the polling station and will
be assisted by a National Executive to identify
voters.
c) All eligible voters should be identified by the
NPP Delegates card and must have their names in the
Voters Album.
d) All proxies should be eligible voters with their
name on the proxy list and should also produce a
copy of the proxy form.
e) No polling official should take instructions from
any party member or executive.
f) Each aspirant is entitled to nominate two (2)
agents for each of the designated voting centres,
but only one (1) would be engaged at a given time.
g) Aspirants are further entitled to nominate One
(1) additional agent to represent them at the
results collation centre at the Electoral Commission
Headquarters.
h) Results declaration forms should be endorsed by
candidates’ agents present and faxed to EC Head
Office (OPS Room) by Regional Directors.
i) No delegate/aspirant or their supporters are
allowed to campaign within the voting centre.
j) Each Region’s election shall be supervised by a
National Representative
(See attachment).
k) There shall be no use of cameras at the Polling
Booth.
l) Delegates shall proceed to the Electoral
Officers, go through the process of identification
and issued with Ballot Papers to cast their Votes.
m) Voting Centres remain as follows:
· ASHANTI – COMMUNITY CENTRE, KNUST
· GREATER ACCRA – OSU SALEM PARK, ACCRA
· CENTRAL – PAMPANASIE HOTEL, CAPE COAST
· WESTERN – GNAT HALL , TAKORADI
· BRONG AHAFO – PASTORAL CENTER, SUNYANI
· NORTHERN – SPORT STADIUM (INNER CAR PARK)
· EASTERN – OYINKA HOTEL, KOFORIDUA
· VOLTA – SKYPLUS HOTEL, HO
· UPPER WEST – GNAT HALL, WA
· UPPER EAST – VAG HALL, BOLGA
· NATIONAL – NPP HEAD QUARTERS, ASYLUM DOWN
n) Security
The headquarters has concluded discussions with the
Ghana Police Service on providing security
assistance for the election at all voting centres on
that day. Party members are entreated to ensure full
cooperation with the security service in the
discharge of their duties.

Dear Lord, forgive our
foolish ways
Graphic, Aug 28, Ghanadot - Managing the national
economy is similar to running our individual homes. The
government uses the money it gets from our taxes and
other income to build roads, schools, hospitals and the
like and to promote the earning capacity of the nation.
If what we earn from our cocoa, gold and other exports
are not sufficient to import the inputs for our
factories, drugs, vehicles etc., the nation goes into
debt. The way out is to curb our imports and increase

Ghana July producer price
inflation at 47.4 pct yr/yr -stats office
Reuters, Aug 28, Ghanadot - Ghana's annual
producer price inflation stood at 47.4 percent
year-on-year in July up from the last estimate for June
of 33.1 percent, the national statistics office said on
Wednesday....The rise, driven partly by increased costs
in the manufacturing sector, takes Ghana's producer
price inflation to its highest level since January 2010......More

Ghana: World Bank Offers Ghana
More Financial Support
allAfrica, Aug 28, Ghanadot - THE World Bank has
pledged financial support to Ghana's government
public-private partnership (PPP) initiative....The
Country Director for Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone,
Yusufa Crookes, who made the pledge, said the bank was
impressed Ghana could leverage private capital through
the PPPs, which could be used to bridge the country's
yawning infrastructure deficit.. More

US Beams Searchlight on Ghana’s
Saltpond Platform over Stolen Crude
ThisDay, Aug 25, Ghanadot - The United States
government has launched investigation into crude oil
shipments from Saltpond platform, a small oil facility
off the coast of Ghana, due to strong suspicion that
some of Nigeria’s stolen oil may be exported through the
