Martin Amidu misfires big time and
must be ashamed!!

Folks, of all that Martin Amidu has been saying as a
so-called Citizen Vigilante, none has come across as vile,
atrociously childish, and vacuous his claim or boast that he
stopped President Mahama from selling the Graphic
Corporation.
In a news report attributed to him, he is quoted as saying
many nonsensical things to confirm my earlier claim that he
is an embittered character who is driven by nothing but
arrogance and a misplaced hatred for President Mahama. In
effect, Amidu sees himself as more "substantial" and more
suitable to be the Northerner ruling Ghana and not President
Mahama.
In the statement that he issued to make me see him the way I
do, he is said to have "rubbished claims that he is envious
of the President and his achievement".
“I shall not commit the major sin of envying or hating or
being bitter against any creature of God Almighty or Allah.
Always Grant me that Grace oh Lord”, he claimed (See
http://www.ghanaweb.com/…/I-stopped-Mahama-from-selling-Gra…).
Yet, a cursory reading of his statement betrays him as a
complete hater of President Mahama. Just consider these
aspects:
1. President John Mahama nearly sold the Graphic Corporation
when he was deputy minister of Communications under former
President Jerry John Rawlings. According to him, the
incident was the first to draw his attention to the
inclusion of Mr. Mahama in the NDC government.
He claimed that President Mahama would have privatized the
Graphic Corporation but for his intervention through the
letter that he sent to Rawlings.
MY ANALYSIS
Was President Mahama positioned to take such a unilateral
action? Even, the Rawlings administration's Divestiture
Implementation Committee itself couldn't just have disposed
of any state-owned enterprise without the involvement of
Rawlings or his appointed representatives as such. How could
John Mahama have secretly privatized or sold the Graphic
Corporation?
Such a shoddy lie shouldn't come from the lawyer that Amidu
claims to be. Is it possible for Mahama to sell the Graphic
Corporation, no matter his position in the Rawlings
administration? Just one man selling a whole state-owned
corporation? Is Amidu really normal?
2. "“As for President John Dramani Mahama I did not know him
until he joined the NDC 2 Government after the 1996
Elections and became Deputy Minister of Communications."
MY ANALYSIS
Who did Amidu consider himself to be at the time for him to
want to know everyone committed to the Rawlings' cause
before seeing value in such a person? I see in this a hollow
attempt to portray himself as a "cadre" (belonging to the
so-called "Old Guards") regarding all others not thinking
and behaving like him as a new comer to the NDC to be
treated with contempt. Such a braggart has lost his footing
in the NDC. No wonder he is contemplating forming his own
political party. The wind will blow him away before he
realizes what is happening to him.
Folks, even though Amidu claims that he doesn't hate
President Mahama, his public posturing, rhetoric, and empty
boasts betray him. The same applies to Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings
who is walking a tightrope badmouthing President Mahama.
Such vain attempts at undermining him won't succeed.
I am happy that despite all their provocative utterances and
name-calling, President Mahama hasn't deigned responding to
them. Neither does he want to dignify them by reacting to
their claims. That is the nature of the gentleman that he
is.
As I have already said, those embarking on this kind of hate
programme will end up being eaten up by their own bitter
hearts. A short "Tweeaa" to them for maximum effect!!
I shall return…
