Guess what is killing
blacks in America

About a week ago, George Floyd, a
Black man, was murdered on a street in his hometown of
Minneapolis, Minnesota by a white policeman.
A medical
officer hired by George’s family has declared the death a
homicide.
And since his death, the
entire country has been on protest.
The LA
Times, in 2019, had this to say on Blacks dying at the hands of
the police.
“Getting
killed by police is a leading cause of death for young black men
in America.”
George Floyd’s death was horrific in
an exceptional way.
A video captured the scene, as it happened.
It was a
deliberate suffocation of a Black man by a white police officer
in broad daylight.
George, lying prostrate on the street
floor, with hands in cuffs, had a knee of the white policeman
planted on the back of his neck, full weight pushing downward.
And for eight minutes, the torture continued.
Moments later, George was rushed to a
Hospital. Dead.
His last words were, “I can’t
breathe.”
Why
George, already in cuffs, had to die in such cruel manner, under
the “color of the law,” is a question that begs for an answer.
His crime, if any, an alleged
transaction with a $20 counterfeit bill.
A white
person, in similar circumstances, would not have been dealt a
death sentence for this alleged, petty crime.
Thankfully, in any moment of such tragedy there comes a sense
for clarity.
Minneapolis was one such moment.
It brought clarity; the damage that continue to be done
to Black life in its entirety and the racial ugliness of police
brutality – a racism that is systemic.
Van
Jones, a Black activist and a commentator on the liberal CNN
media, was quick to observe and comment on the hideous crime
that happened at Minneapolis.
He said, “What we saw was a lynching…
the racist white person in the KKK is not what we have to
worry about. It is
the white liberal Hilary Clinton supporter walking her dog in
Central Park….”

But the systemic aspect of this racism
is lost on our so called “woke” Blacks, who vote persistently
for Democrats.
Jones outburst has attracted
censorship and some suppressions on platforms like Youtube; the
aim being to promote the false narrative that racism only
belongs in conservative ranks.
But in truth, police killings of
Blacks have so far happened in predominantly Blue Democrat
states. Case
history of recent charges, the year, the administration under
which they occurred, both at state and local level, support this
assertion.
Eric Garner, 2014, Staten Island, New
York State. A police
chokehold. Blue
Michael
Brown, 2014, Ferguson, Missouri, 18 years old, fatally shot in a
confrontation with a police officer. Blue
Tamir
Rice, 2014, Cleveland, Ohio 12-year-old, carrying a replica toy
gun, shot by a policeman. Red.
Freddie Gray, 2015, Baltimore, MD.
25-year-old black man, arrested, died while being
transported in a police van to a hospital.
Blue.
Briana Taylor, March 13, 2020, killed
by the police, Louisville, KY.
Blue
George Floyd, May 25, 2020,
Minneapolis, Minnesota, choked to death in the street.
Blue.
And less we forget history and the Jim
Crow lychings' era, Emmett Till, 1955, Mississippi.
Blue.
Despite Black symbolic victories at
polls after polls, the circumstances that promote these killings
do not go away.
Blacks
elect fellow politicians to state and federal offices, liberal
Democrats from Blue states mostly, who continue to offer the lie
that Republicans are the only racists,
while being delusional about the racial problem facing us.
Such
delusion has led to the circumstances that made Blacks, like
George Floyd, victims of racial crimes.
George
was murdered in a Blue state, Minnesota; with Democrats in both
gubernatorial and mayoral offices.
Despite the boast about compassion for
Blacks, the crime against George Floyd did not result in prompt
arrest of the offending white police officer, until the protest
started.
And when
it did, Blacks were forced to become partners with a muddled
group of white liberals – ANTIFAs; mostly young wealthy, college
educated backpack carrying kids, saddled with guilt and boredom,
who rushed in to misdirect and stoke the protest lines with
chaos.
For days
in row, ANTIFA has claimed our cause, burnt and looted police
vehicles, a church and private properties in poor black
communities and would leave the wreckage in Black neighborhoods to stay
that way for a long time to come.
For us
Blacks, the resulting carnage would be existential – businesses fleeing
neighborhoods and communities left broke.
For ANTIFA, it was a game to blow up
America's form of government. In the process, they used
and mocked Black plight.
President
Obama, in 2014 at Baltimore, after Freddie Gray's death and the
rioting said:
“There is no excuse for the kind of
violence we saw yesterday.
It is counterproductive.
When individuals get crowbars and start prying open doors
to loot. They are
not protesting. They
are not making a statement.
They are stealing….. A handful of people taking advantage
of the situation for their own purposes.
And they need to be treated as criminals.”

President
Obama described perfectly anarchy in action, the type that
eventually robs Blacks of their moral victories.
Leo Terrell, a Black Civil Rights
Attorney, maddened by the manner of George’s death in 2020,
expressed the same disgust, but in a rather poignant way.
“I’m
shocked that there has been no Democratic lawmaker in the last
72 hrs. who have focused on the criminal activities of these
individuals….”
President
Obama ought to repeat his Baltimore message today.
President
Trump has condemned George’s murder.
But no need to repeat his message, since our “woke”
constituency has already labeled him a “racist,” just like it
has for all Republicans.
Remember the riots at Charlottesville,
2017?
In 2017, at a “Unite the Right Rally,”
ANTIFA thugs showed up to inject hate and exploit race
relations. But
some saw the ANTIFA thugs as the good guys and the opposing
side, “Unite the Right,” as the bad Klansmen.
This time in 2020, ANTIFA, the anarchy
promoters at Charlottesville, appeared on major cities in the US
in reaction to George’s murder.
Missing, the “Unite the Right” klansmen.
The havoc produced so far was worse than
Charlottesville’s.
In the havoc, George Floyd was
forgotten as was Freddie Gray, Michael Moore and many other
victims of racism in America; the evidence of ANTIFA
successfully bending Black sacred cause to their anarchist will.
As a result, the near change of heart caused by the
brutal murder of George has been reduced to ideological
squabble.
Somebody
would have to explain why a sacred cause against racism should
be linked to what anarchist ANTIFA thugs want.
And
Democrats would have to explain why so much tolerance in Blue
states that led to the majority of the racial brutalities
against Blacks happening in their constituencies.
Van Jones was right.
Time to rethink.
