PETITION ON THE UPSTREAM OIL INDUSTRY IN GHANA - FAIR TRADE OIL SHARE GHANA PSA (FTOS-Gh/PSA) CAMPAIGN

Andy Kwawukume

March 02, 2017

"Raising adequate amount of financial resources is not squeezing to pay more taxes and levies on
almost everything, nor borrowing heavily from outside at very high interest rates. It means exploiting and harnessing our natural resources that Providence has blessed us to wisely develop to generate the necessary funds to form the basis of our national development and economic transformation
."

Folks,

I bring to you update on our campaign to have a fair and just oil regimen established in Ghana which brings maximum benefit to the mass of Ghanaians as opposed to the obnoxious, robber baron system which has been established in the country, starting with the Kufuor regime, and consolidated into law by the Mahama regime. This system benefits mainly foreign oil companies and a few Ghanaian collaborators.

This petition has consolidated into a compact form our arguments in support of our opposition to the so-called Ghana Hybrid System and call for the adoption of the PSA. No one who has taken time to read through can be left in doubt as to the soundness of our position.

Attached too are documents showing the front people put forward as the collaborators in the case of the Keta Basin oil exploration dirty deal, the so-called Pet Volta group given 5% shares for a company with just GHS20,000 on paper! They are the wife and relations of the wife to the Swiss man behind the newly formed Swiss African company given 83% shares (he is simply fronting for Mahama and some NDC honchos). We have the full details of all involved in this particular robbery of natural resource plot, the old Wild West style.

Our struggle is in its infancy and we believe that as more and more Ghanaians begin to understand what's going on - the level of understanding of the core issues is at a pathetic level at the moment - the stronger the clamour for change shall be and change we shall get!

SOUTH AFRICA IS DISGRACING ITSELF AND ITS FRIENDS

Commentary, March 02, Ghanadot - For years, the Ghana Government, under our late President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, housed and fed hundreds of South African refugees in flats and hostels at what is now the Airport Residential Area in Accra.... Nkrumah's Bureau of African Affairs provided political and military training to those South Africans who applied for such training. They lacked for nothing.......More
