I am what Ghana needs, says Nduom
Audrey Agyiri-Inkoom

The 2008 flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has for the second time launched his bid to lead the party to contest for the 2012 general elections.

According to him, he should be credited for initiating several of the ongoing national policies in Ghana at the moment and that these policies should attest to his ability to lead this country successfully.

Speaking at the launch of his campaign to vie for the presidency on the ticket of the CPP in Accra, Dr. Nduom, said he has gone through the mill to give other contestants a run for their money.

“We need a president who by his practical experience is best suited for the job,” the former minister of economic planning and regional cooperation said.

“We need a president who has demonstrated in his private life and public office the ability to deliver positive results”.

“I believe I am the person most suited of the position of the president of the Republic of Ghana come January 2013,” Nduom declared.

The former minister of Public Sector Reform under the erstwhile Kufuor administration said, “There are many good reasons why Ghanaians should support me in 2012. If you are looking for better days on pension because now in Ghana today you have new pension scheme then you have this CPP man to thank for it.

“If you believe the National Identification System will bring positive benefit to Ghana, you have this CPP man to thank for it; soon there will be two brand new ferries on the Volta Lake due to the Millennium Challenge Account, who made that happen? The CPP man, he added.
