News Release
AFAG
December 24, 2014
Let us renew our energies and
sense of Purpose in 2015
The Leadership of the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG)
uses this platform to wish all Ghanaians, both home and
abroad, a Merry Christmas in anticipation of a prosperous
new year.
This year has been hellish, with no sense of hope and
direction for the Ghanaian. The president has performed
poorly and barely rendered state institutions non
functional. Prices have soared with stunted growth of wages.
Indeed, government has not been truthful to Ghanaians.
Whereas world market prices of crude are fast declining, the
NDC "sikadicious" government has seen no sense in decreasing
fuel prices. This is hardship positively made so by
president John Mahama.
Fellow Ghanaians, though we hope for a prosperous new year,
it is evident that, the insensitive government of John
Mahama will not provide for our expectations without seeking
actions that will force his government to do so. Ghanaians
can count on us. AFAG will step up the game.
We will however focus on the telecommunication industry
during the first quarter of the year. The performance of the
telcos leaves much to be desired. We will put the fire on
the telcos without compromise. This not withstanding, AFAG
congratulates the Ghana Police Service for a job well done
in the year. The current police administration simply, can
be described as best and promising.
Let us go into the New Year with renewed energies and a
sense of purpose aimed at improving on state institutions
and holding government to be more responsible to the
citizenry for its decision and actions.
Merry Christmas to you all Ghanaians

Times assured me that I was heading to
instant death. Ebola plagued the headlines
of all papers, and was the topic of hushed
conversation in every coffee shop and bar.......More

enormous this year. The cedi has depreciated
