Press Release
AFAG
October 06, 2014
MR. PRESIDENT, DO NOT
SWEAR IN SPIO GABRAH
The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG)
is shocked to the marrow at the open display
of arrogance, and great penchant for
inconsistencies cum lies during the vetting
of Ekow Spio Garbrah in Ghana's parliament.
It is worrying that a person who labeled,
soon to be his colleagues; team B, could not
justify the very reasons for labeling them
so. Been "sorry" is not enough, the motive
behind the call is one filled with hate,
envy and "the pull him down" syndrome.
Mr. President, would you want to include a
person who has proven himself at the
appointments committee level as a liar in
your government? How would he relate with
the majority of team B men in your
administration? He lacks the moral judgment.
Another worrying experience was the rapidity
with which Spio Gabrah concealed his block
headedness at the primary level. There is
nothing wrong for him to have stated that he
failed several times in school, and that
explains why his age while at school did not
match his current age. Mr. President this is
absolute dishonesty. Spio Garbrah is not
proud of himself. He is fighting a complex.
The actions of Spio Garbrah gives meaning to
Kweku Anyidoho's assertion that, Spio
Garbrah bought his honorary awarded PhD and
that it was a cheap PhD.
Fellow Ghanaians, the only achievement in
government by Spio Garbrah as a former
education minister was the introduction of
academic/residential facility user fees for
tertiary students, which have remained an
albatross on the neck of students since
1998. His bad sense of judgment brought the
"Mobrowa" struggle that resulted to the
death of many students. Hence his
affectionate call by students as Spio
"Garbage".
On the score of above, we consider Spio
Garbrah as not worthy to be a team B person.
At least some team B men are better than
him. They were not block headed in school.
We never heard of their consistent failures
in school during their vetting in
parliament. If they were, they probably
would of have been proud of themselves.
Indeed Spio Garbrah fits in team D. He
cannot achieve anything for traders. He may
be imposing more hardships on Ghanaians
because he is good with tariff imposition
just as he did with the introduction of the
residential facility user fees for tertiary
students. He causes the mess.
Mr. President we advice you not to swear in
the Team D prefect.

hundreds of years since The Black Plague of the 14th
century, the African has been chewing on “bush or
game meat,”. without developing immunity for the
virus. Suddenly and since 1920, it is this same diet
that is killing him and now is entirely responsible
for the existence of the HIV/AIDS virus in the

Ghana lifts farmers' cocoa
price in bid to deter smuggling
Reuters, Oct 02, Ghanadot - Ghana sharply raised
the price it will pay cocoa farmers for the new 2014/15
