Benjamin Kumbuor is new Health Minister

Accra, Oct 14, Ghanadot - The President, John Evans Atta Mills
has nominated the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Benjamin
Kumbour for consideration by parliament, to replace Dr. George
Sipa Yankey as the substantive Health Minister.
Dr. Kumbour’s nomination comes days after the substantive
Minister; Dr. George Sipa Yankey resigned to pave way for
investigations into the Mabey and Johnson bribery scandal in
which he has been implicated.
Dr. Oakley Nii Quaye-Kumah, if confirmed by parliament would
replace Dr. Ben Kumbour as the Deputy Health Minister.
The President has also appointed, Mr. Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo to
replace resigned Minister of state at the Presidency, Amadu
Seidu. Amadu Seidu has also resigned his position to pave for
CHRAJ’s investigations into the Mabey and Johnson scandal.
