CPP senior
members support Samia Nkrumah
Audrey Agyiri-Inkoom
Ghanadot, September 9,
2011
Some senior members of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP)
have declared their unwavering support for the party’s only
Member of Parliament, Samia Nkrumah in her quest to become
the chairman of the party in the upcoming delegates congress
scheduled for 9 to 10 Septemeber 2011.
According to the statement, the party shall work for a
united Nkrumaist family, bringing back into the fold
splinter groups, the many who have sat on the fence waiting
for the revivalism, the many who were young pioneers,
workers’ brigade and of the other affiliate organizations
and yet still, the many who did not return to the fold after
the failed alliances in the past.
The statement revealed that, the decision to support Samia
Nkrumah’s bid is to ensure that a fresh, bold and
imaginative leader is handed the mantle to lead and
transform the party.
In an interview, Samia Nkrumah stated that members of CPP
are crying for change after the current leadership failed to
bring change to the party thus her reason to take up the
mantle of leadership.
To her, the CPP family needs sound, credible and transparent
leadership that can attract votes to return the CPP to power
come 2012, adding that she will work towards making the CPP
attractive to electorates to gain more votes than it did in
the previous election.

How Osama bin Laden caused our
banking meltdown and financial crisis
Telegraph, Sept 08, Ghanadot - When historians
look back on the financial and economic turbulence of
our times, they will date it not from the start of the
banking crisis in 2007, but to the bursting of the
technology bubble at the turn of the century, or perhaps
even earlier to the height of the Asian financial crisis
in 1998.
