Ga Mantse urges Gas
to unite and work hard
Accra, Aug. 7, Ghanadot/GNA - Ga
Mantse, Nii Tackie Tawiah III, has called on all traditional
leaders within the Ga State to unite and work hard to
unearth opportunities in traditional governance for local
and national development.
He said the Ga State was now peaceful and urged feuding
factions to do away with land litigations since it could
stall the development of the area.
Nii Tackie Tawiah said this when he met sub-chiefs within
the Ga South Municipal Assembly to interact with them and
find common grounds to advance the cause of the Ga State and
also wish them well in the celebration of their annual
Homowo Festival.
He presented cash of GH¢ 1,000 and drinks to them towards
the celebration.
Nii Tackie Tawiah said the only tool that could bring peace
and harmony was unity and urged landowners not to sell land
indiscriminately but rather lease it to investors to ensure
that they did not lose their natural resources.
Mr Stephen Owusu-Afriyie, Municipal Chief Executive of Ga
South Municipal Assembly, called for effective land
administration to stop the activities of land guards and
illegal sand winners.
