Akuffo- Addo-Biometric
registration will reduce electoral fraud

Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),
Nana Akuffo-Addo, has stated that biometric registration
which will be implemented for the 2012 General Elections
will help enhance the county’s democracy.
According to him, it will eliminate multiple
registrations and reduce electoral fraud, thus promoting
good governance and improve the electoral system.
In an interview with Ghanadot, the presidential
hopeful of the NPP revealed that Ghana's democratic
governance is idiosyncratic and unique thus the
introduction of biometric registration will be
advantageous.
Nana Akuffo-Addo, reiterated that
need for Ghanaians to trust the electoral system of the
country, adding that is the only way for the Electoral
Commission (EC) to conduct free and fair election come
2012.
