GMA threatens to go on strike next month

Audrey Agyiri-Inkoom

Dr. Adom Winful, President of the Ghana Medical association, GMA, has called on the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to use the evaluation process to migrate its members unto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS). According to the GMA, the commission is grading its member’s base on sentiments on and not the evaluation process.

The President of GMA reiterated that if their concerns are not addressed by the 7th of next month, the GMA will embark on a nationwide strike on the 8th of the same month since that is the only way they can use to express their aggravations.

In reaction to the allegations, the Chief Executive officer of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, George smith Graham said the GMA refused to meet with his outfit and other bodies in the health sector to address the issue and assures that his outfit is working assiduously in resolving the gripe of the GMA.
