UK’s Minister of State for
Immigration arrives in Ghana today

UK’s Minister of State for Immigration,
Damian Green, will arrive in Ghana today for a two day official
visit. The visit forms part of his tour to the sub-region.
According to a statement issued in Accra
by the British High Commission, the key theme of his visit is to
consolidate UK-Ghana cooperation across a range of issues,
including the fight against drug trafficking, organised crime
and irregular migration.
The statement said as part of the
activities lined up for his visit, Mr. Green would deliver a
speech at the University of Ghana on the recent changes to UK
Immigration Policy, and what they mean for Ghana.
Mr. Damian Green would also meet the
Interior Minister, Dr. Benjamin Kunbuor, Director of Ghana
Immigration, Dr. Peter Wiredu, and Deputy Attorney General, Ebo
Barton-Odro, the statement revealed.

Koehler and former South African president, Thabo Mbeki, touched
down, yesterday, to support their colleague, former president J.
A Kufuor to inaugurate his Foundation in Accra and Kumasi.
